RHINOPLASTY ( NOSE SURGERY )
Nose surgery, or rhinoplasty, is one of the most commonly performed facial cosmetic procedures at our clinics. Also known as a nose job; rhinoplasty is designed to improve the appearance and proportion of the nose, or to correct a breathing problem.
Nose reshaping may also be performed as a reconstructive procedure to repair a birth defect or a traumatic injury, such as a broken nose.
It can also be carried out for functional purposes rather than cosmetic. Combining nose with a septoplasty can effectively correct breathing issues caused by deviated septum.
Liposuction is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures in Turkey. Liposuction aims to reshape specific regions of the body — improving body contours and proportions by removing stubborn, unwanted body fat.
Treatable areas of the body can include the thighs, arms, hips, waist, back, chest and chin.
Breast Augmentation- Mammaplasty
Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure that changes the size and shape of the breast:
- For women who feel that their breasts are too small.
- Asymmetric breasts .
- Breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery.
If you are considering breast augmentation, this information will give you basic knowledge about the procedure how it works and what kind of results you can expect. However, you may need to to consult your doctor if you have further questions..
The most suitable candidate for breast augmentation surgery;
Most patients will undergo breast augmentation to change the apperance and size of their breast which then increases their confidence. Sometimes results aren’t exact but your surgeon will discuss this with you before the procedure. It is important to be optimistic during this stage and keep your expectations at a realistic levels. Breast enlargement is mostly done to fix asymmetic breasts and for the reconstruction of breasts after cancer surgery with the use of permanent inflatable protheses.
Implant (prosthetic) types;
There are two types of breast implants: saline and silicone.
Saline-filled implants are silicone shells filled with sterile salt water (saline). Silicone-filled implants are silicone shells filled with a plastic gel (silicone). Although many women say that silicone implants feel more like real breasts than saline, they pose more of a risk if they leak.
Risks involved in Surgery
As with any surgery, there are specific risks and complications of breast augmentation surgery. Capsular contracture; tigthening of the tissue capsule around an implant which results in the firmness or hardening of the breast and squeezing of the implant making the breast asymmetrical. Capsular contracture can be treated in several ways. Implants are removed and replaced with a new one. As with any surgery, bleeding, infection, wound healing, can also occur in breast augmentation surgery. If bleeding continues, a second operation may be needed to control bleeding and to drain the accumulated blood.
In a small percentage of patients infections can occur. Although infections can occur at anytime after surgery, it is normally within 2 weeks after that they are seen. In some cases implants are removed completely and replaced with a new one. Sometimes a postoperative hypersensitivity or decrease in sensation in the nipple can occur. These symptoms usually disappear with time, but may be permanent in some patients.
There has been no evidence linking being able to concieve and breastfeed and breast implants. Because of the materials in which they are made of , silicone and saline implants will leak into the sorrounding tissue if they come in contact with and unsual sharp object. In this case, the prosthesis must be replaced in a very short period of time because the saline can be absorbed into the body.
Breast implants have a lifespan of between 7 to 25 years. The symptoms of joint pain and swelling, fever, fatigue and breast pain in women with breast implants have not been linked to connective tissue disease.
There is no evidence that breast implants cause breast cancer. Some people are under the notion that efficient breast screenings can not be done with implants. In Central Hospital, we have reliable and experienced technicians and physicians who use special techniques to obtain reliable images. Ultrasonography, which is the determination of mass in the breast prosthesis in some women and can provide additional benefits for the evaluation of the prosthesis.
Although the majorityof women will not experience any complications; it is very important to speak to your surgeon of all risks and consequences before hand.
Planning your Operation;
At first your doctor will evaluate your health to see if you are applicable for the breast augmentation. Your skin tissue will be evaluated as well in order to depict the most appropriate technique. If your breast sag; your doctor will lift your breast. Make sure to discuss all treatment options with your doctor before surgery to make sure you fully understand all the details of the procedure.
Be sure to discuss your expectations openly with your doctor. Also, tell your doctor whether or not you are a smoker or taking any vitamims or prescription medications.
Your doctor will discuss all surgical procedures and costs with you ahead of time. Because breast augmentation does is a cosmetic surgery, private insurances will not cover the cost.
How to prepare for surgery;
The surgeon will give you specific instructions about what you can eat and drink. After surgery, you will need someone to escort you home and help you out for a day or two.
Types of Anesthesia;
Breast enlargement surgery is performed under general anesthesia. In this case you'll sleep through the entire operation. Some surgeons prefer to use local anesthesia with a sedative agent. In this case, you will be awake and may feel some discomfort.
The placement of the prosthesis depends on the structure of your breast chest and surgical preference. Surgical incision can be made in the fold where the breast joins the chest wall or areola (the dark area around the nipple) or underneath the breast. Incisions are made to result in minimal scarring.
Working through the incision, your surgeon will place the prothesis directly behind the breast tissue which is rised for form a pocket for the implant. Then the prosthesis in the desired size is placed in the cavity.
Some surgeons believe that placing the implants behind the muscles of the chest reduces the probabability of capsular contracture condition. This technique causes morepain for the patient and longer healing time. Surgery usually takes 2 hours.
You may feel fatigue and tenderness for a few days after surgery, but you will stand up in 24-48 hours. Most of your discomfort can be controlled with medications that your doctor hadsprescribed. Within a few days your gauzes will be removed and you be need to use a special bra. . You may experience a burning sensation in the nipple about two weeks, but it will subside as the bruising goes decreases. Swelling in your breasts may continue 3-5 weeks.
Returning to normal;
You can return to work within a few days depending on the level of activity your job requires. Follow the advice of your doctor upon doing anything out of the ordinary. Your breasts will probably be sensitive to direct stimulation of two to three weeks, so avoid such physical contact. After that, when your breasts usually after three to four weeks after surgery no longer feel sensitive, regular feeling of the breast will be back to normal.
Your scar swill be hard and pink for at least six weeks.. After a few months your scars will begin to fade but will not dissapear completely.
Your new look;
As a result of the breast augmentation; breasts appear fuller. The decision to undergo breast augmentation should be entirely up to you. The most important thing is how you feel about yourself. If you are happy with the way you look and feel; your surgery was a success
For those who have;
Aesthetically large breasts,
Postural disorders and can lead to lower back pain,
Rash and infections forming underneath breasts.

How is the breast reduction procedure planned?
Prior to surgery, planning and drawings are made directly on the body.

Two days after the drains are removed patient may shower. Medicated ointments can be used to for scar treatment.
Like other operations, there are risks involved in breast reduction as well. Altough rare, bleeding and infections may occur.

Ultrasonic liposuction also known as the vaser liposuction. The ultrasonic energy pulses to gently break apart the fat cells with minimal collateral damage to important tissue. Vaser liposuction is not a laser process. Vaser stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance. The ultrasonic energy is transformed primarily to vibration energy which is transmitted to the fat cells by small probes . The fat cells are “shaken” apart and then mixed with fluid, which is infiltrated by the surgeon at the onset of the operation. Then, small cannulas are used to suction and remove this fat and liquid mixture .
What are the advantages of Vaser Liposuction?
• Ultrasonic sound waves are used to break up fats aspirates them into liquid form. Wavy surface can be seen when patient underoges conventional liposuction however smoother results are the outcome with vaser.
• Quicker healing with less sagging skin.
• minimal damage to other tissue. Less pain, edema-swelling with less occurrence of side effects such as bruising and numbness.
• Other liposuction procedures can be damaging to surrounding tissues because of the temperature involved in the process. With vaser ultrasonic sound waves are used resulting in the vitality of the fat cells that can then be used to inject into the parts of the body that may be needed or desired by the patient.
• Best results for precision shaping. Defines and accentuates appearance of muscles.

Vaser Liposuction is done under operating room conditions. When applied on a small region local anesthesia can be used. Larger areas such as the waist, abdomen etc, require general anesthesia.
Pain Free Before and After
Ofter postoperative stages are painless however patients may experience mild contractions that will end in 2- 3 days. Patients are usually released 3-4 hours after some rest. In some cases patients may be required to remain hospitalized overnight.
